Deborah L Turchiano Attorney at Law

Deborah L. Turchiano graduated with a degree in Labor Relations from Cornell University. After becoming a casualty of the early 90's investment banking firm reductions-in-force, Ms. Turchiano decided to attend the University of Florida College of Law, where she graduated in 1993. Prior to graduating, she was a summer associate for three of the largest law firms in the country in Atlanta and New York.

After graduation, Ms. Turchiano began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Susan H. Black on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She then spent seven years at a Wall Street law firm. There, she specialized in transactional employment law and executive compensation with an emphasis on tax and securities law. Ms. Turchiano currently practices at an executive compensation consulting firm, where she negotiates employment contracts and compensation arrangements for Fortune 500 executives.

Ms. Turchiano has published a number of articles and chapters such as, Chapter 8: Perquisites, Executive Compensation and Benefits Handbook, BNA Publications (2002), IRS Changes Rules through Field Service Advice—This Time on FICA and ESPP, Journal of Taxation of Employee Benefits, RIA Group Publishing (January/February 2000), The New Qualified Plan Minimum Distribution Rules, The New York Law Journal (Winter, 1996), Chapter 12: Negotiating and Drafting Employment Agreements, Executive Compensation: The Professional's Guide to Current Issues & Practices (2004), and Chapter 15: Executive Compensation as a Corporate Governance Issue, Corporate Governance (2004).

Ms. Turchiano lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
