Will Develop ‘Hello Kitty®  and Me’ Series for the ‘Put Me In The Story’ ®  Personalized Children’s Book Platform

CHICAGO, IL – November 14, 2013—Sanrio, the global lifestyle brand best known for pop icon Hello Kitty, and Sourcebooks, a leading independent publisher and developer, are pleased to announce a brand new children’s book series, Hello Kitty and Me.  Sanrio and Sourcebooks will create eight original Hello Kitty stories designed and written specifically for the Put Me In the Story personalized children’s book app and website.  Sourcebooks will also develop and distribute physical and digital copies through booksellers, major retailers, and libraries.

The first Hello Kitty and Me book will be released in July 2014.  In Hello Kitty and Me: Best Friends, Hello Kitty and her closest friend do all the things best friends love to do, including flying a kite, playing at the beach, having sleepovers and riding bikes in the park. Using the Put Me In The Story platform, the child’s name will be integrated throughout the text, making your child the star of story! 
Sourcebooks recently announced the addition of The Berenstain Bears and Sesame Workshop books to the Put Me In The Story app and website.
Custom print orders of the Hello Kitty books will be available at www.putmeinthestory.com, and are priced at $32.99.  The Put Me In The Story app on the iPad is available on the App Store for free.
